Red Leaves?? & Roses for Understanding....

I want to start by apologizing for not having the baby boy card I promised to share with you today.  I had my post written and when I opened it to schedule it last night, it hit me that I NEVER took a picture of the card!! LOL  Yep... I'm hoping these roses will help you be understanding of my air-filled brain this week.  I have so many things in the pot right now I am glad there's such a thing as "bookmarks" or I might not even have made it here today!! LOL  But never fear, I'll get that picture taken Thursday!

For today though, I'd like to share a card I made using Melanie Muenchinger's newest set, "Branching Out" combined with another of Melanie's set... "Buds and Vases".  When I first saw the Ranger Embossing Powder- Rich Red, I KNEW I'd have to do Melanie's awesome branches in it!!

My card began with Pure Luxury Red Hot card stock.  I layered on some Black Onyx and then another layer of Red Hot which I ran through my Cuttlebug and embossed with the Textile folder.  I stamped the branches with Versamark and used that awesome Ranger Rich Red to heat emboss them.  I stamped the roses separately and colored them with my Copic markers then cut them out before adhering them inside the frame.  I added the lace and wrinkled ribbon and a single self-adhesive rhinestone to the bow which I also colored with my Copics to match my card color.

Tomorrow the Gina K Designs Design Team will have a FUN blog hop for you to enjoy.  I hope you stop by and hop along with us!

Have a great day!! *smile*

WOW Tina, this is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Would never have thought to use that beautiful red for leaves, but what a great combination. I've had many of "those" days, problem is they seem to be happening more frequently. I can't live without my sticky notes, and even then, sometimes I forget to look at them :o). Thanks for sharing this gorgeous card. Hugs, Sharon :o)
