Follow Your Dreams...

Theresa Momber's newest set, "Follow Your Dreams" is really getting a work out during my stamping time, how about you???  When I first saw this set, I really liked it, but THEN... when I got it... I couldn't stop using it!!!  My card today is a pretty CAS design and I just really like the "clean" look of it.

I started with Pure Luxury Turquoise Sea card stock.  I added a layer of Black Onyx and then my dragonflies were stamped on White.  I used my Viva Decor Halogram Glitter Liner to color the wings.

I added an oval piece over the larger dragonfly and sponged on some Memento Summer Sky three-quarters of the way down the card.  I two colors of twine to the bottom.

I have even more cards using "Follow Your Dreams" and I hope you don't get bored with all the posts I'll have that will in the future.  Hee Hee

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!! *smile*

It's LIME!!!!

OMGosh have you seen the NEW Gina K Designs card stock, "Pure Luxury Accents - Key Lime"??? YAYYY it is sooooooooo yummy!!!!  I threw a quick card together because I just couldn't wait any longer to put my hands on this awesome color!!

My card today uses the new "One Free with 3" set, "Garden Silhouettes".  LOVE this set for quick cards!!  My card base is Wild Dandelion. I added a layer of White and then that awesome Key Lime!!  I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Spots and Dots embossing folder.

My image was stamped on white card stock using Memento inks and I used one of the "Timeless Textures" stamps to do the "Kissing Technique" on the flower petals.  HERE is a link to Gina's Video on the technique on Stamp TV.  I added another layer of the Wild Dandelion and left it a bit longer to add my twine and sentiment below.

With Spring here and Summer just around the corner, I KNOW this will be a color I will be grabbing more and more!!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!! *smile*

For My Nature Guy...

Today I'd like to share yet another card I made for the Gina K Designs Release Party last Thursday. I used Theresa Momber's set, "Follow Your Dreams".

My card began with Pure Luxury Green Apple card stock.  I layered on some Sweet Corn and a layer of DP I found in my stash.  My image was stamped on White card stock and I colored it with my Copic markers.  I cut it out using my Labels 4 Nestabilities.  I sponged on some Tim Holtz Distress ink, Mustard Seed, before removing my die.  I raised it up on Pop Dots and mounted it on my DP and Sweet Corn.

I added a little wrinkled ribbon to the card and button and stamped my sentiment on the DP on the lower corner.

LOVE this set and you can be you'll be seeing more from it on my blog!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! *smile*

Loving Branches

I am REALLY liking Melanie Muenchinger's newest set, "Branching Out".  I know this one will be used over and over again on many future cards!

I think this card turned out even better than I had originally thought.  The line of black embossed branches going down the middle of the card is stamped on Pure Luxury Ivory and when I finished and looked at it completed I thought it looked soooo much like a printed ribbon strip!! LOVE it!!!

I began with a card base of Passionate Pink and  I added a layer of Black Onyx and a piece of Ivory.  Next I layered on some of the new yummy Echo Park, "Be Mine", DP.  And, of course, that strip of Ivory with the branches heat embossed on it.  I also added branches in two corners and heat embossed them as well.

My main image is stamped on Ivory in Versamark and heat embossed as well.  I added my sentiment in Vivid, Raspberry and also stamped one of the birds from the set in the same color and cut it out and mounted at the bottom of my Oval Nestabilitie

I hope you enjoyed the last few Gina K Designs Design Team Blog Hops.  The fun doesn't have to end there... come back and I promise to keep em coming!! :-)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!! *smile*

Gina K Designs April Inspiration Hop Day 3

Today is the last day of the Gina K Designs Design Team Hop.  Hope you have enjoyed hopping as much as we've enjoyed sharing our work with you!  Never fear, even though it's the end of the Inspirational Hops... I'm sure the DT will have many more creations on their blogs over the next few weeks featuring the awesome April Release sets!!  Now... on to the last of the sets.

What's the dirt?... by Gina Krupsky

Gina's set is perfect now that Spring is here and a great reminder that it's time to get those flowers and plants going!!  :-)

I started my card with Pure Luxury Sweet Mango and added a layer of White.  On top of the white I added some of the fabulous Floral Elegance Digital Paper available at Gina K Designs.  If you remember a couple weeks back, Gina showed us "Shadow Stamping".  Gina also showed us how she stamped on her DP to add a bit more texture to her card.  That is what I did with this digital paper.  I used a few of the stamps from the set and a coordinating ink to stamp images to the Floral Elegance.  I stamped the pots on White card stock and colored them with my Copic markers.  I then used my oval and scalloped oval Nestabilities to cut out my image.  I added a few self-adhesive copper nail heads, a ribbon behind and some pop dots to create more dimension on the card.

How would you like to win this beautiful set? Today Gina is giving away 2 of these stamp sets!  All you have to do is leave a comment on each of the blogs in today's blog hop. We will randomly choose 2 names from all the comments and those winners can choose any stamp set valued at up to $23.95!

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the remainder of the hop.

Have a great day!! *smile*

Hi everyone!!! Are you ready for another hop from the Gina K Designs Design Team???  Once again we are bringing you more inspiration showcasing the new April stamp sets.  Shall we get started??? First up....

Branching Out by Melanie Muenchinger....

Melanie has done it again with another set that is not only FABULOUS... but again, so versatile!!  I LOVE this set and I couldn't decide which card to showcase today! :-)

The card I chose begins with Pure Luxury Black Onyx base and I layered on some Ocean Mist.  My image was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in teal.  I stamped the sentiment box and heat embossed it as well on White card stock.  I added more Black Onyx by using my Lacey Square Nestabilities and mounted it all with Pop Dots.  I added some self-adhesive pearls to the lower corner and used my Copics to color them to match the teal and added a small flower.

You will have to come back later this week to see even more of the cards I created using Melanie's set.

Next up, another AWESOME set!!! Gina K has some of the BEST illustrators and the next will not disappoint as well!!

Follow your Dreams by Theresa Momber....

What can I say??? Theresa does some of the best scenic stamp images ever!!!  She NEVER disappoints!!

My card began with Pure Luxury Little Boy Blue and I layered on some Cranberry Tart.  I added a layer of DP I found in my stash and I used White card stock to stamp my image using Memento ink pads.  I cut out my image using my Labels 7 Nestabilitie.  I added a ribbon across the card again used Pop Dots to give the Nestabilitie a bit of dimension.

As with Melanie's set, I have more to share using Theresa's set as well.  Stay tuned!!  :-)

Check out what the rest of the team has created to inspire you this morning, and then, make sure you leave a comment on each of the blogs because we're giving away some stamps!

Spreading Get Well Happiness

Feeling low??? Not for long!!  Today I am sharing a bright and cheery get well card that I previewed at the Gina K Designs Release Party.  Melanie Muenchinger does it again with her newest set, "Branching Out"!!  I could NOT stop making cards with this set!!!

I started with Pure Luxury Creme de Menthe card stock.  I layered it up with some Lemon Drop then my image was stamped on white and I used my Memento markers to add color to the image.  I stamped the oval image after coloring again with my markers but first... adding some of the awesome Timeless Textures print to my oval.  I used my Oval Nestabilities to cut out the image and mounted it with Pop Dots.  I added a paper flower to the base of the oval and added a rhinestone which I colored with my Copic markers.  I stamped the flowers on the branches and again added rhinestones as well as stamping the bird.  A satin ribbon and bow and I think anyone would feel better with a bright cheery card.  :-)

Come back Monday to join the Gina K Designs Design Team on yet another inspirational blog hop showcasing more of the amazing April release sets!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! *smile*

Saturday Sunshine...

Happy Saturday!!!  Today I am sharing a card I created for the Gina K Designs Release Party which was held on Thursday evening.  I featured two of the new sets this month.  Garden Silhouettes and Timeless Textures made for a great combination!

My card base began with Pure Luxury Red Hot card stock.  I added a triangular piece of white card stock and layered it with some red DP I found in my stash.  I added a few self-adhesive pearls in the corners.  My image was stamped on White first with the texture stamp in Vivid, Red Brick.  Next I colored my flower with Memento markers and stamped them onto the red textured image.  I layered it on top of more Red Hot and then again on white.  I added a red gingham ribbon and added my sentiment.  To finish off my whole layered image was attached with Pop Dots.

Come back tomorrow to see yet another card I shared at the Release Party.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Saturday!! *smile*

Gina K Designs April Inspiration Hop Day 1

Wasn't last night's Gina K Designs' Release Party exciting??!!!  So much fun going on and so many things to look at, I didn't know which way to go first! LOL

Today, the Design Team is hopping along to share some of our creations to keep you inspired!!

First up, Garden Silhouettes, the new One Free with Three sets  by Gina K.

My card base is Pure Luxury Wild Dandelion.  I layered it up with some Wild Lilac and I stamped my images on white.  I stamped the first flower with Vivid Purple ink then stamped off the second (middle) image and my last image was stamped using Memento Lulu Lavender.  I added a punched border to the bottom and stamped my sentiment on it.  I added self-adhesive pearls which I colored in three tones with my Copic markers.

Next up, another set by Gina K., Timeless Textures....

I wanted to use this set to create a manly design which always seem  to be a bit tough for me, but I really like the way this came out.  I began with a base layer of Pure Luxury Ivory card stock.  I added a layer of Chocolate Brown then stamped my images on a layer of Soft Sand.  I used several different colors of ink for each texture stamp using Vivid and Memento inks.  I added my sentiment to the bottom and right below added some adhesive copper nail heads.  Last I added some twine to the top.

Check out what the rest of the team has created to inspire you this morning, and then, make sure you leave a comment on each of the blogs because we're giving away some stamps!

Two lucky readers will each win two stamp sets of their choice along with a surprise embellishment pack including ribbons, buttons and more!

Friends Soar

So.... I LOVE this bird!!!  So..... I HAD to show you one more card I created before all the new stamps start debuting tomorrow!! Woot Woot!!!  :-)  My lovely bird is from the Stamp TV Kit, Springtime Silhouettes available at Gina K Designs

My card base started with Pure Luxury Little Boy Blue.  I layered on some Vibrant Violet.  And once again... I found some awesome DP that I HAD to pair this bird with.  although, I realized once I got it done, you couldn't see as much of the trees in the DP as I had hoped.  I stamped my bird on white using Memento Bahama Blue and then cut it out and mounted with Pop Dots.  I stamped my sentiment on my Nestabilities Ribbon Tags and added a flower to the corner.  A few self-adhesive pearls in the upper corners and done!!

Thanks for stopping by today and remember... tomorrow's the day!!! Stop back for a sneak peek of the NEW GINA K DESIGNS STAMPS for April!!!!

Have a great day!! *smile*

Remember Fall?

Today my card was one that I created for a magazine submission but... it wasn't picked.  :-(  It's ok... I get to share it with YOU now!!

My card base is Pure Luxury Sweet Mango.  I layered on some Chocolate Brown and a layer of Kraft.  I stamped my leaf images from Melanie Muenchinger's, "A Year of Leaves".  I stamped the images and colored them with my Copic markers cut each of them out and mounted them using Pop Dots on top of my ribbon.  I added my sentiment in the lower corner.

As you can see, I also added my envelope and rubbed the edges with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Linen.  I stamped a few leaves in the corner and one on the back flap also coloring them with Copics.

On the inside I kept it pretty basic as well and used Melanie's "A Year of Borders" and colored them in with Copics as well.

I really liked this card and had hoped it would have gotten picked, but I do know this... it has helped me to gain a little more confidence in submitting and I KNOW I will submit again. :-)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! *smile*

Monday has Come "A ROUND"! :-)

Happy Monday!!!  It has come a ROUND again!! And.... Gina has definitely given us an awesome sketch!!!

Here is the sketch....

I started my card with Pure Luxury Bubblegum Pink card stock.  I used my circle Nestabilities and also used my scalloped circle Nesties with a piece of white card stock which I adhered my pink to.  I found another awesome piece of DP and decided to use it on my card.  I stamped my butterfly from the Stamp TV Kit, "Springtime Silhouettes" and cut it out before mounting it to my DP.  I stamped my sentiment at the bottom of the DP.  I added a piece of lace I had in my stash across the card.

I really like doing the circular cards more and more and this one was no exception.  I hope you play along and be sure to add the tag to your upload on the Stamp TV Gallery.

Remember you don't have to use Gina K Designs stamps but if you do, your name goes into the drawing twice!!

Good luck, have fun and thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!! *smile*

Golden Cages

I found this awesome gold cage paper and I couldn't resist putting it together with the caged bird from the Stamp TV Kit, "Springtime Silhouettes".

My card base is Pure Luxury Sweet Corn layered with some Black Onyx and then that great find, the gold foiled bird cages!!  I used my Labels 8 Nestabilitie to stamp my bird cage using Versamark and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I found a strand of plastic beads that I changed the colors on using my gold paint dauber to resemble a chain the cage is hanging from.

I layered a strip of Black Onyx and more Sweet Corn to stamp my sentiment on.

Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow to see the new Sketch Challenge that Gina will be posting on Stamp TV

Have a great day! *smile*

Gilfriends, Birds and Doilies....

I have another fun "treat" the girls at My Studio shared with me a couple weekends ago when they were visiting.  I'm sorry to say, I don't know what it's called or how to get it!!! :-(   It was a punch of some sort that makes these awesome doilies.  You just fold the cuts back and ... ta da!!! A doilie!!!

My card was created using Pure Luxury, Night of Navy card stock from Gina K Designs.  I used a piece of the White Layering Weight card stock and found a punch to create the scalloped border on the left.  I used self-adhesive pearls to add some "bling" to the card.  As always, I used white pearls and colored them with my Copic markers to match my card colors.  I mounted the "doilie" in the middle and used the newest Stamp TV Kit, "Springtime Silhouettes" and stamped my bird in Vivid, Inky Blue.  I mounted with Pop Dots to add some dimension.  A simple flower in the corner and done.

I really like this "doilie" and can't wait to find out what kind of punch it is AND where to buy it!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! *smile*

Dad's Friday!!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Stamp TV Color Challenge but also a card I decided would be perfect for my husband from the kids for Father's Day this year.  It's "two-fer" day!!    :-)

Here are the colors Gina gave us to work with this week....

The stamps I used on my card were Tami Mayberry's newest set, "Perfect Pennants" and Rupa Shevde's, "Guiding Light", both from Gina K Designs

My card base is Pure Luxury, White, and I layered on the Wild Dandelion and then the Night of Navy card stock.  My image was stamped on White and I used my Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities to cut the image out.  I colored it with my Copic markers and added some Memento Dandelion sponged around the Nestie before removing it.

My pennants were stamped with Vivid ink, Inky Blue and Memento Dandelion on white.  I added some twine to hang my pennants from.

I hope you plan to play along and be entered into a chance to win a stamp set of your choice valued at $24.95.  Remember to add the tag code above when posting your creation to the Stamp TV Gallery.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!  *smile*

Gina K Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to a fun Gina K Designs Design Team hop!!! Today we are showing techniques of all kinds as featured on Stamp TV.  We hope you enjoy hopping through the variety of techniques and are inspired to try something new.  If you came her from Valerie Stangle's blog, you're in the right place!!! Wasn't that bleaching technique awesome!!!! Gorgeous card, Valerie!!!

For my card, I used the Emboss Resist Technique.  You can find Gina's video on this technique HERE

My card base is Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White and I layered on some Black Onyx and another layer of white.  I stamped my image using Versamark and added clear embossing powder.  I sponged Memento Tuxedo Black all around the heels and using the clear embossing powder, it made the image white background pop out.

I used the Scallop Square Nestabilities to cut out a piece of the Black Onyx and place them behind my image.  I added my sentiment on a Fancy Tag Nestie and added a bit of Memento Tuxedo Black around the edges.  I threaded my ribbon through and finished off my card.

If you've lost your trail along the way, you can always start over on Stamp TV's Main Forum.  Your next stop in the hop would be at Theresa Momber's blog!!  Can't wait to see what wonderful creation she has in store for us!

Enjoy the hop and I hope you find a few techniques you'll want to try.  Have a great day!  *smile*

A Little Support

A couple weekends ago I had two awesome gals come stamp and create in My Studio.  One of them left me with a couple card templates and this was one!  I think it's just so cute!!

I used a stamp from Gina K Designs, the new Stamp TV Kit, Spring Silhouettes, flourish to mimic lace on the card.

My base is Pure Luxury Innocent Pink.  I stamped the flourish with Vivid Tea Rose ink.  I added some lace to the bottom and a few self-adhesive rhinestones to the "straps".  The heart was punched out of Bubble Gum Pink and I added a white layer and stamped "Hope" also in the Tea Rose ink.

I thought this would be a perfect card to show my support for Breast Cancer Awareness... a charity dear to my heart.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! *smile*

Give me an Inch(ie)....

Another new venture for me... "Inchies"!!! I've never done Inchies before so I figured I might as well give it a try!!

I actually purchased my Inchie boards from Ellen Hutson and LOVE how rigid they are thus making them easy to use just about any medium on them.

My first Inchie, on the left, I used Asela Hopkins set, "Make a Splash".  I stamped the fish in Memento Black Tuxedo and colored them in with my Copic markers.  I then added some Stickles, Waterfall, to the background.

On the middle Inchie, I used Theresa Momber's, "Warm with Love".  I began misting my Inchie with a gold glimmer mist, then I stamped the twig/branch in Memento Cottage Ivy.  I used just a couple words from some of her sentiments.

My last Inchie was done using the butterfly in Theresa's set.  I colored it with my Copics and used my Pearl Drops to color in the "sky" background.

These were certainly a first for me and I really enjoyed doing them so I'm sure I'll tackle them again soon.  Almost instant gratification!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!! *smile*

A Serene Monday…

STVSKSP21

Guess what today is??? If you said Stamp TV Sketch Challenge day, you’re right!!!  I really like the sketch today.  I used Theresa Momber’s latest set, “Warm with Love” on my card today.

Here is the sketch Gina gave us to work with….

STVSKSP21mon

I started my card base with Pure Luxury, Turquoise Sea, card stock.  I used a piece of white card stock and punched the edge, lining the top with some ribbon I found in my stash.  I then added some self-adhesive pearls to the ribbon.   My image was stamped on white card stock and I used my Copic markers to color it in.  I sponged the sky with Memento, Blue Sky and (a little tip….) I used a make-up Q-tip to color in the water using Vivid, Aqua.  I used my oval Nestabilities to cut the image out and popped it up with Pop Dots

Following the sketch, I added a partial “doily” flower to the corner and a little turquoise rose as well.

I hope you play along and remember to add the tag to your photo when you load it on the Stamp TV Gallery.  Also, don’t forget… you don’t have to use Gina K Design stamps, but if you do, your name is added to the drawing twice for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice valued at $24.95!!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!! *smile*

"...Ladybugs came.. to the Ladybug Picnic...."

"One, two, three... four, five, six... seven, eight nine...ten, eleven, twelve.. ladybugs came to the ladybug picnic..." Remember that tune??? LOL  OMGosh I am dating myself now!!!  I think this one was on Sesame Street??  Here it is, if you want to take a stroll down memory lane.  LOL  I don't know why but this song came into my head as soon as I seen the newest stamp set from Rupa Shevde, "Cute as a Bug" from Gina K Designs.

I started my card base with Pure Luxury Red Hot and added a piece of white across the middle with some DP on the top and bottom that I found in my stash.  I stamped my adorable ladybugs and the "Picnic" sign and colored them with my Copic markers.  I added a bit of twine on top and tah dah... ladybugs heading to the Ladybug Picnic!! LOL

I hope you're having  a great Saturday!!  Thanks for stopping by!  *smile*

Dirty Colors??!!

Time for the Stamp TV Color Challenge!!!  I really like the colors Gina picked out for us this week, but I had an accident and well... changed up my card a bit.  :-)

Here are the colors Gina gave us to work with...

My card was created using an image from the Stamp TV Kit, Springtime Silhouettes.  I am sooooooo loving this set!!!!  My card base started with the Pure Luxury Sweet Mango.  I used my red hot to add a layer after I ran it though the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder then tore along the top and bottom.  I stamped my image on the Sweet Corn and added some Tim Holtz Distress ink, Antique Linen around the edges.  I also used Vintage Photo around the edges of the Red Hot and the Sweet Mango.  My sentiment was again stamped on the Sweet Corn and bordered with Red Hot.  I added a row of self-adhesive pearls under the sentiment.  A piece of lace and some pop dots to raise up my image for a bit more dimension.

Now for the "accident"... I really DROPPED my distress ink blender on the edge of the Red Hot and Sweet Mango so.... yep... everything got edged in it! Ha!!!  Normally, I would have used Theresa Momber's little sanding paper trick to remove the accident but it was far to much and after I finished I decided it just added a little more vintage look to the entire card.  :-)

Remember to upload your creation to the Stamp TV Gallery and be sure to add the tag above to your post.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! *smile*
