StampinUp! Deals and MORE BIG Deals!!!

To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Stampin' Up! will donate
  • $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
  • Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber.
Together, we will make a difference!
Here's how you can help:
  1. Subscribe! If you're new to Paper Pumpkin, click here to get started. Your first kit will arrive in a limited-edition pink box that you'll want to hold onto forever-and we'll donate $2 becauseyou're new
  2. Stay active if you're a subscriber so we can donate $1 for you. Only those who receive the October shipment will be counted for the donation.
  3. Spread the word! Help us get as many new subscribers as possible. Every current subscriber adds $1 and for new subscribers it's doubled, so let's get the word out and raise as much as possible.
  4. Remember, those who get the October kit will not only be donating to a good cause, but they will also get a one-time only, pretty pink Paper Pumpkin box! No one will want to miss it. Promise.
More About BCRF

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world's most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $550 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year BCRF has invested $58.6 million in research, to support over 235 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder's Fund focused on metastasis. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation's most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an "A+" from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator's highest rating of four stars 13 times since 2002. For more information, please visit: www.bcrfcure.org.

Additional Details:

  • New subscribers are those who signed up between September 11 and October 10, 2015 and have not been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber at any time in the past.
  • All funds will be donated in US dollars.
  • Mini spoiler alert! The October project inside the pink box is just as awesome as always, but we should probably let you know that it is not a pink project. That's all we're saying. ;)
  • Funds will be donated based on number of subscribers instead of boxes shipped. But, if you want more than one pink box, you can always increase your subscription quantity by logging into your account at PaperPumpkin.com before October 10.

Things are Changing!!!

I cannot believe it's been almost two years since I wrote on this blog.  But, time changes lots of things.  Just like they say in Iowa about the weather... "wait a minute and it will change".

So let me tell you about a few changes that have happened in the two years I've been away from this blog.

My son graduated from high school last May and now I have a freshman in college.  So much to do for him to get ready and then move him in that I really wanted to say..."stay home... who needs college?" LOL  But, alas, he is doing wonderfully and really loving the whole experience thus far.  My daughter is in her final year of middle school.  Still in band and going strong in that direction.

I have had THREE surgeries on my knees since last September.  Most recently, my right knee was replaced and though I have a nice scar which is healing much better than I had expected, it is sooo nice to be able to stand on that leg without pain.  My left knee will need to be replaced at some point, but not for awhile.  Cortisone is doing its magic and keeping me comfortable.

Now for the FUN/GOOD stuff!!!  I have decided to become a StampinUp demonstrator again!!!!!  I really enjoy setting my own hours to work or not work and the awesome extra benefits you get for selling their project is more than enough to keep me entertained for months!!!  I have a fabulous up-line and I have worked on other design teams with a lot of them in the past.

I will be offering some "online classes" and information on any specials and FREEBIES which you can earn just by either becoming a SU demonstrator or a customer.  StampinUp now offers Project Life materials and I am soooo excited to see this as it's such a fun, quick and easy process to use to put those pictures in an album and not have to stress over the typical "layout" of your scrapbook album.  Project Life makes you look like a first place scrapbooker when in reality it takes less than five minutes to create a whole 12 X 12 page!!!  You're going to LOVE it!!!!

And let's not forget... the Paper Pumpkin monthly kit now available!!  Once a month you can have this fabulous, fun kit which includes an all-inclusive project.  You can pay month to month or buy a subscription and save with a lower monthly cost.  EVERYTHING is included... the papers, embellishments, stamps and even ink pads!!!  All you do is provide the time to relax and have some fun because SU did all the "pre-work" for you!!!

AND THE BEST PART...... we are currently offering 50% off the cost of your first two months kits!!!!

Visit PaperPumpkin.com to join! Use promo code: HALFOFF and sign up by Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 11:50 PM (MT).

You don't want to miss this one!!!

And yes... it's time for the Holiday Catalog!!!!  SO many fun kits, new stamps and embellishments you really MUST see!!!  Get a jump start on those cards and ohhhhh the tags... LOVE LOVE LOVE these tags and they come all ready in a fabulous kit, ready for you to assemble.  No stress Christmas prep!

So keep our eyes open... I'm sure there will be a thing or two you can't live without for your holiday preparations.

AND... if you enjoy crafting and saving money at the same time... you might want to consider joining my team and "playing" for a career! I can show you how!

Even better, Stampin' Up!'s Demonstrator Starter Kit is completely customizable! Build your Starter Kit your way! For just $99, you get your choice of up to $125 worth of any current Stampin' Up! products! A business supply pack valued at $50!
That's a total value of $175!
I'll be back with more fun class information and tips & tricks so be sure to check back in!!! Feel free to browse the catalogs and check out all the awesome products SU has available HERE.  Have a great day!!!

We're Friends & Family...

Hi everyone!!  It's almost Christmas and though we all have family and friends we enjoy spending time with at this time of the year, we also have family and friends that we don't see or visit with often enough but still mean just as much to us!  Us gals on the Design Team of Color Me Creative Challenge Site wanted to take a moment to send a big HUG and a special thanks to our fearless leader, Suzanne Dean.

Suzanne HAS to be the easiest and sweetest person to work with and, as many of you know from reading her blog, about the funniest too (though sometimes we ALL think she'd be better off leaving the house in bubble wrap! LOL)  *Kidding!!*

As you may have figured out, Suzanne adores the time she spends with her family and quite often shares her travels and outings with us.  So, as a little way to encourage her to continue doing what she loves best AND to keep sharing it with us... the DT would like to invite you to share in our little blog hop sharing our creations for Suzanne that remind us of family, sharing, recording memories and love.  Suzanne is a perfect example of how to share as much time as you can with those you love and to create memories that will last a lifetime for generations to come.

So here's to you, Suzanne... we love you, your crazy ways and think you are just like family to us as well.

I just think Suzanne's family would totally agree with this lovely sentiment.  And heck... this Sherri Baldy Bestie sure looks like Suzanne.  Hee Hee

Suzanne just runs circles around her family and I KNOW I'd never be able to keep up with her and all she does for them and with them.  But I must say... she's probably one of the best moms I know and I can tell you she doesn't regret one thing she does to help her family along.  I love that about her.  She amazes me every day.

Now head on over to Linda Payne's blog and enjoy the awesome project she is sharing with Suzanne.

Thanks for stopping by and we hope you have a VERY Merry Christmas and that you make all the memories and treasured times you can with your family and friends!

We love you, Suzanne and thank you for another fabulous year with the CMC DT "family"!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!!

CMC Holiday Bash!!!

It's that time of year again!!! Come join Color Me Creative for some fun, games and a whole lot of PRIZES!!!!  Yep.. our annual Holiday Bash is here!!  You don't want to miss out on a chance to win some fabulous prizes so hop on over to CMC Holiday Bash and join in on the fun!!!  You've got ALL MONTH to join in and play and win!!!!

Our Design Team has some awesome inspiration for you to see and we can't wait to see what you design as well!!

For my project I created a cone wreath....

My dad is a huge auction attendee and one of the "tables" he won had a ton of old sheet music!  Score!!!  (No pun intended... LOL)  Of course, with my kids and I being piano players, he ended up sending ALL of it home with me!!!  I LOVE using sheet music printed papers in my Christmas designed cards and such and I couldn't think of a better way to use this than to make a beautiful wreath with a precious angel in the middle.

My angel is from Sherry Baldy's Besties and you can find her HERE.  I used my Copics to color her up and mounted her on some tulle that sparkled along with some beautiful flowers to surround her.

Prior to adding my sweet angel I added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in gold all over my papers.  I LOVE that these were old sheet music.. no distressing needed!  A few pearl flourishes and she's ready to bless our holiday season!

Again... you have a month to join in the fun so hop on over to CMC and play a game or two.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!!! *HUGS*

A Good Ol Boy Christmas....

Good morning!!  I am not terribly thrilled to be promoting Christmas at this time of year, but... I'm happy it's not JUNE (though I'm afraid it might be some day!) and we're promoting it. LOL  But.. I admit, working with these funny three guys from Dr. Digi House of Stamps, "We Three Kings", was not at all depressing to me. Hee Hee

If you've never taken a look at Dr. Digi House of Stamps you really should stop by.  The "men" are especially funny and well... ok... might be that I'm just a woman, but omgosh I can't wait to work again with this awesome images.

My sweet men were colored with Copic markers and I printed them off on Cryogen paper which has a bit of a "sparkle" to it and that just added to the "snow" I added below.

My DP came from a "country pack" of paper and I am sorry the cover came off so I can't remember the name of it.

A little twine to finish off my "manly" effects and it's finished.  I love how this came out... now I need to find the perfect man to send it to.  Hee Hee

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!  *HUGS*

It's Getting Close...

It's official... Fall is here!  It's chilly and wet and although I love the rain, I am not a fan of the cold.  NOR... am I fan of seeing Christmas items popping up everywhere!  But, alas, it is a commercial world and I too have to start thinking of this "end of year" event.  I have to admit I colored this image a few weeks back but just didn't have it in me to create a card with it until now.  When Patricia (the Paper Temptress) sent me an awesome pack of papers, I knew they would go perfect with my Santa image.

My image is from Sherry Baldy and you can grab your copy HERE.  I colored Santa and his visitor on Cryogen White and mounted it using pop dots.  My card base is the Mica Metallic Emerald and the white layer is also Mica Metallic in Crystal.  Now for the cozy part... the Ruche Red Cape.  LOVE LOVE this paper!!!  For me, it was the perfect texture to add to a winter card with my velvety
Santa suit beside it!  This paper also tears well so if you're like me and like the look of a ragged edge, this paper adds even more texture to the mix.

Here's a close up so you can see a bit of the shimmer in these card stocks.

Of course I colored my image with Copic markers and used my Silhouette Cameo to create the snowflakes around the image.  A little bow and some bling finished off my card.

If you haven't tried the Paper Temptress' papers yet, you really need to stop by and grab a few sample packs.  She has more textures and colors than any site I've ever been to.  AND... she carries a few ribbons and flowers as well.  I think you'll be surprised as the awesome selection!

As always, I hope you have a great Monday and I thank you for stopping by!!! *HUGS*
