A Reflection of You

I am soooo happy to finally be able to post this!! I have had it in my head since November but things got crazy busy and with my "stampers elbow" acting up terribly, I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted. I heat embossed Melanie Muenchinger's, "Arranged with Love" onto the mirror. It takes a bit longer than if you were using card stock but it works. Make sure you use your Anti-Static Pad because you will slip if your stamp doesn't have something to grab onto as you stamp. (A word of advice... it DOES get hot so, as Gina K. suggests on her Embossing Video, if you have a shoe box lid or something similar; I suggest laying in that before trying to emboss.) Once I was done I let it set until it was completely cooled. I used a wet wipe to remove all the powder from the Anti-Static Pad and dry it completely with a clean paper towel. I then used my Copic markers to color in the flowers. I got "some" line marks as I colored so I went with the direction of how the "veins" would look in a real flower petal. I used my Scor Tape and went completely around the edge of the mirror and then applied the ribbon/pearls around it and then the bow. I intentionally left a small around on the right so that I could put a small message to the person I intended it for. I hope she likes it! It was a bit of a struggle to photograph but I hope you get the idea. Oh, if you decide to try this.. a clear pedestal (like I have it on here) is always nice to give with it. Have a great day! *smile* Signature

Fabulous creation and how inspired. Wonderful colouring on what must have been an exceedingly tricky surface.
Thanks so much for playing along with us at Copic Creations.
