Just Imagine...

Mmmmm doesn't it sound good to go sit out on a beach somewhere... preferably a quiet one. Maybe private or early in the morning when no one else is around. Just lying back, listening to the water hit the shore as you close your eyes and think happy thoughts. After I finished this card, I was soooooooo ready for a vacation. It has been a couple years since my hubby and I went off somewhere alone together for a quiet (NO kids allowed) relaxing weekend. Even then, we were off trying out a new hotel/water park resort that I was planning to take the kids to alone while he was working. It was about a 4 hour drive from home and I didn't want to go alone with the kids and not know the area. I'm very good at reading maps and finding my way, but.. ok.. it was an excuse to go somewhere alone with my DH. That just never happens for us... or at least VERY rarely. Since I was a LONG time in finally giving in and getting married... our kids were 2 and 6 at the time we did so even they went along on our honeymoon!!! Everyone told us not to take them, but... ultimately... we LIKE our kids!! We love doing things WITH them and well... like I said... we RARELY go without them. I can probably count on one hand how many times we did things without our kids in the last 11 years. Honestly. And it's not because we HAVE to... it's because we LOVE to. Our kids are just a part of us and we enjoy sharing things with them and taking them to places we never go to go when we were kids. So... it's all good. My card, made me wish for a little solitude though. I used Gina K's, You Are My Sunshine and simply colored it in with my Copic markers. I did paper piece the umbrella. I think this will be one of my favorite cards because of the colors. I just love peachy/corals. They look so feminine to me and fresh. Hope you get some time to relax and enjoy a little quiet alone time this summer. Signature

I want to go to that beach. Beautiful card Tina and wonderful coloring. I bought that stamp with my very first GKD order and it is still one of my faves.
