A New Sketch

Today I am sharing a card I created using the new Stamp TV Kit, "Sent with Love".  The images in this set are so fun and I've noticed that I am getting rather attached to this fabulous bench!!  :-)

Today is also Gina's Sketch Challenge on Stamp TV.  Here is the sketch...

I started with Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight white card stock.  I layered on some DP I found in my stash and stamped my image using Memento ink on Layering Weight card stock.  I colored the heart with my Copic markers and sponged around the image before removing my oval Nestabilitie.  I layered it under with my scalloped oval Nestabilitie.  I added my sentiment and flowers to follow the sketch.

I have to admit, this is going to my Valentine's card for my DH.  This bench probably hits my heart so because our very first date took place on a bench at a park.  We sat and talked and talked until dark by the river.  It was a very memorable evening and the funny part... we shared chicken wings and a bottle of wine!!! LOL  What a combination, huh?  And... the "Happily Ever After" sentiment.  We had a "Cinderella" wedding... truly... I wore a light blue gown and he wore white... I even had clear acrylic pumps and a tiara! LOL  Not to mention the awesome Cinderella Barbie doll he found while on the road at a truck stop... a VERY old one... in mint condition... total collectible!!  One of my wedding gifts to me.  Awwww

The sad part... on the day of our wedding... which took place in my best friend's back yard.  She was setting up as I was getting my hair done and when I arrived at her house... I walked in the back yard to see all the wonderful decorations she had set up... along with the receiving line table that had a parchment scrolled "guest list" sitting on it which ceramic rose embossed weights on each corner and to the left.... my precious COLLECTIBLE Cinderella Barbie doll OUT OF THE BOX!!!!!  OMGosh... I about fainted right there and then.  The box was awesome... it opened like a book revealing the doll behind plastic so why... WHY did she feel she had to UNSEAL the box and take the doll OUT???!!! *sigh*  I guess the only good thing is... I KNOW I will never sell it... and I suppose... when I'm dead and gone, it won't matter what my children or grandchildren do with it.  But still... ya know?? Oh well... what's done is done.  Nothing I could do about it at that point.

I hope you have a great day and definitely... go try the sketch challenge.  It's your chance to win a stamp set from Gina K Designs valued at $24.95.  Be sure to add the tag on the sketch above when you upload your creation. Have fun and thanks for stopping by.  *smile*
