Vintage Gelato

Today I'd like to share a simple, no frills... just an easy card that could be used for just about any occasion.  A note... a thank you... or even a birthday.

My card uses the Stamp TV Kit, Springtime Silhouettes. I began with a base of Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart and added some DP I found in my stash.  I then added a bit of green DP to the corner.

I inked up my image using Faber Castelle's Gelatos.  These are funky looking art medium that looks like little tubes of Chap Stick! LOL  Color Gelatos are creamy sticks infused with brilliant color. The color glides easily onto papers and can then be dissolved with water to create watercolor effects or left to dry for vibrant bursts of color.  I used my Gelato to run over my marker and then spritzed with a bit of water.  I stamped it the first time and then stamped off to create the image on my paper.  I used my Oval and Scallop Oval Nestabilities to mount the image.  I sponged on some Tim Holtz Distress ink in Antique Linen around my image.  I ran a piece of wrinkled ribbon across the card and decided to leave it blank.  No sentiment needed.

I just love how simple but elegant it looks.  Now I am ready to send a quick note to a dear friend.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to stop back tomorrow for the Stamp TV Color Challenge.  Have a great day!! *smile*
