Center Stage Spotlight Desgin Team Challenge Hop!

Welcome to our first Center Stage Spotlight Design Team Blog Hop! Jessica Fick, the Design Team Coordinator for GinaK Designs has issued a challenge to all of the past and present team CSS team members to make a Christmas card with one of these sketches: We know you're going to LOVE what everyone has designed for us tonight! Here is the first card I designed using the first sketch above.

I wanted to feature, Gina K's new Metallic Silver Card stock which I LOVE!!! I used it as my base and then used my circle Nestie which I stamped the bells from Theresa Momber's, "A Very Merry Christmas", with my Versamark and heat embossed them. Am I the only one that has a hard time telling the WHITE flowers from the IVORY ones??? LOL I had to ask my dad to tell me which was which! LOL My ribbon is a sheer with a touch of "shimmer" on the edges which I think went well with Gina's Silver Card stock. Kinda hard to see here but in real life I just love it!!

On my next card I wanted to bring back an old favorite... Gina's, "Spirit of Christmas". I love this little tree... it just reminds me of Charlie Brown.. hee hee. I stuck a few rhinestones on it which I colored with my Copics and instead of using the star up top, I used a tiny bow. My mother-in-law was famous for putting ribbon bows on her tree year after year. Sadly... she came to ME to make them all for her!!!! But hey... I'm a great daughter-in-law, what did you expect?! LOL I featured Gina's Gold Metallic paper as my scalloped Nestie and my ribbon is actually a layer of two satins on top of each other... one with the gold on the edges.

For my last card, you guessed it... STILL poking away at coloring those poinsettia's just right... hee hee. Melanie Muenchinger knew what she was doing when she named this set, "A Year of Flowers" because it's just such a "MUST have" for just about any occasion!!! Again I used Gina's Gold Metallic as the circle Nestie but... did you notice????? I used TWO of Gina's Pure Luxury green card stocks on top of each other. I just love how they make each other pop with just bit different shade. I think they both helped to bring out the green in the poinsettia. For my ribbon... I used Gina's Christmas ribbons and added two strips of the green satin on both sides of the plaid. I love it!!! Now... go to my fellow CSS DT member and Gina's DT and have some more fun getting inspired for Christmas!!! *smile* First, here are the links for GinaK's Current CSS Team Members and Gina K:
