Karing for Karen Blog Hop

Welcome to a special blog hop we are calling, Karing for Karen!! A hop for a very special friend of ours, Karen Knegten. If you have been around the stamping community for any length of time at all, you might have run into Karen. She is always participating in challenges, offering us wonderful inspiration with her awesome talent! About a month ago, Karen had to have surgery for two brain aneurysms. She is still in the hospital and we are having this blog to inspire more of you out there to send in some cards to Karen AND to her family that is caring for her too! So hope you feel inspired with our little hop for you today. Below you will find all of the links to all of the girls participating...these are from the CSS Alumni group and the Design Team from Gina K Designs. Enjoy and be inspired to send a card or two in! Here is the address for sending the cards to:

Karen Knegten
c/o R.S.V.P. Rental Services
350 W. Northwest Highway
Barrington IL 60010

My card uses Pure Luxury Pink Bubblegum card stock and Melanie Muenchinger's newest stamp set, "Basket Additions 2".    My image was colored with Copic markers.

I would love to be able to send a basket like to Karen to help her pamper herself and get stronger.  I'm sure the rest of the girls are also feeling that way as well.  Please stop by their blogs and see what beauties they have created on Karen's hop. Get well soon, Karen... we miss you!!!

Thank you for participating in our hop.  I know Karen will enjoy seeing all the wonderful creations everyone made in her honor.  I am proud to know Karen personally and call her my friend.  And please... if you pray... say an extra one for Karen and her family.  And thank you to all who have been praying for her already.  *HUGS*

What a beautiful card, Tina. I really like it. But I don't see any Wild Dandelion. Did the color simply not photograph very well?

Was wondering Tina why some of the copic markers have a lavender band on them in the picture of your supplies. Is it new or are they on the original markers and not on the ciao or sketch ones?
Love your cards and that you do show the supplies used.
I have mostly ciao but some sketch markers and mine have a grey band.

Naneruth... I believe you asked that question before but I have no way to reply to you if you don't have a blogger account or don't leave me an e-mail to reply to... so I hope you see this. :-) The purple bands on my Copic markers are because I used them at a class where many others had their own markers there as well... so... I put a purple band on them so I would know they are mine. This is done quite often by girls who take Copic classes and carry their own markers. :-) Thanks for commenting! *HUGS*

Very pretty card. I love the use of the corner punch to hold the yarn around the card. It really sets off the card.

Great card, Tina. I do pray, and I will be thinking of a card to make, as well. I love the way you put this together, and another great showing of the "basket stamps" from Gina K Designs. Laura
