He's Just Grand!

Today I'd like to share a card with you I made for a past Outlawz Challenge.  The challenge was to use "music" in some way on your card.  This was especially fun for me because my children and I all play piano and Tami Mayberry's set, "Grand Tags" will forever be one of my favorites because we also have a baby grand piano and I'd been hoping and and wishing for a set like this!!  ;-)

My card also uses one of Gina K's fabulous technique video's the "Pillow Top Background".  I used a "softer" touch than Gina did because I really didn't want it to look totally like a pillow but just a slight tracing of it.  I also used a lighter ink so as to keep it a little less noticeable.. but still add some texture.

My card base is Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice.  I added a layer of Sweet Mango and some Memento Desert Sand ink which was sponged on according to the technique above.  I stamped my image on a piece of card stock from my stash and added some copper threading and a few Copper Nail Heads for accent.  My image was raised using Pop Dots.
