4U Baby Girl....

I'm telling you... it's not long before Valentines Day.  Hope you got your cards made and your goodies bought.  :-)  Today I am sharing the card I made for my sweet daughter.  She truly loved this little candy heart machine when she saw it at My Studio so I knew it was perfect for her.

The image is from Gina K's Stamp TV Kit, "Sent with Love" set.  My card base began with Pure Luxury Passionate Pink and was layered with Creme de Menthe.  I embossed the lower half of the Creme de Menthe using my Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder.

I stamped my image onto white card stock and colored it using my Copic markers.  I then used my Circle Nestababilities and Lacy Circles to mount my image.  A little coordinating ribbon and my heart popped up using Pop Dots and I have the perfect card for my baby girl.  (Shhhh don't tell her I called her that... she's SOOOO not a baby now! Hee Hee)

Have a great day and remember... four days to get that Valentine shopping/crafting done!  *smile*

Arched Bench

When I initially made this card, I was thinking of my hubby and I.  We always take to "benches" of any kind because our first date was by a river on a bench... talking the afternoon away.  :-)  I INTENDED to NOT ink up the "Y" in your and just use it as "our".  But.... ummmm... ya.... I forgot! LOL  Sometimes I get to working and well, ya, I forget things!! Ha!

My image is from Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit, "Sent with Love".  The bench has to be the one image I have inked up the most... definitely a favorite!

I was inspired to put this "arch" over the bench when I was using my Grand Calibur.  I had cut out two shapes and used just the "border" of one to create the arch.  It reminded me of an arboretum.

I simply added a little bling to the top and a flower to keep it simple because I again... THOUGHT, I would give it to my hubby.  NOT that he couldn't get a more complex card... but it seems my very simply made cards are his favorites.  A simple coloring of the heart was all I added.

Thanks for stopping by today and make it a good one!  *smile*

A Virtual Party for Gina K!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GINA!!!  Today the Gina K Designs Design Team is hopping to our favorite person's birthday!!  We are throwing her a "Virtual Birthday Party"!!  Gina, you should have come here by way of Suzanne's blog.  Weren't those hors d'oeuvres awesome?!!

There aren't words enough to express the love, gratitude and pride we share in being a part of such a fabulous woman's team.  If you don't know Gina Krupsky, you are missing out on knowing one of the most respected and inspirational leaders in the stamping industry.  Gina, I hope your day is as fantastic and awesome as you!! *HUGS*

I am bringing your corsage today.  I went with white since I knew it would go with any lovely outfit Janice chose for you.  :-)  And because I definitely DO NOT want to take a chance and poke a pin into you... I chose a lovely wrist corsage.  I hope you like it.

My card today was created using Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight  Turquoise Sea.  I layered it with a green DP, white and another layer of DP.  My ribbon is the gold lined white Pure Luxury.  I made a triple bow using my Bow Easy to make it a bit fuller.

My flowers are from Melanie Muenchinger's "Buds and Vases" stamp set.  I used my Copic markers to color the flowers in with a bit of color since they are white. I stamped the flowers several times and cut them out and mounted them with Pop Dots to add more layers on my corsage. I used my Oval Nestabilities to cut our the image and mounted it also with Pop Dots.  What luck!!! My mom came by this weekend and brought me a whole tub of silk flowers, greenery and embellishments that she use to use for flower arranging and didn't want anymore  My little beaded loops accent my corsage.  :-)

Please join us in wishing Gina a Happy Birthday by hopping with Gina's Design Team. How about someone taking home a party favor?  If you head on over to Gina's Blog and leave her some birthday love, we will draw for TWO lucky people to receive a FREE stamp set!

Gina, your next stop will be Theresa Momber's blog!  Enjoy the rest of you party and again... have a truly AWESOME day!!!!   *BIG HUGS*

Have a great day everyone and thanks for sharing Gina's special day with us!  *smile*

Monday, Monday....

Yes it is... it's Monday... it's Sketch Challenge time!!!  I LOVE this sketch Gina K gave us to follow today!! I can't wait to see what you all create with it!  I was in a bit of a pinch this weekend so I did it pretty quick but I had TONS of possibilities in my head!!

Here is the sketch Gina gave us this week....

LOVE it!!!

My card was created with the Stamp TV Kit, "Sent with Love".  My card base is Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Black Onyx.  I layered it with a piece of DP then layered again with Pure Luxury Red Hot.  Again, I added another DP and simply followed the sketch.  My image was stamped on white and cut out using my Petite Oval Nestabilitie along with the Scallop Petite Oval.  A few self-adhesive pearls in each corner to add a small amount of bling.

I know I will be using this layout again... I just really really like it.  And when I have more time, I know you'll see it again on my blog.  I hope you try the sketch and add your creation to the Stamp TV Gallery.  Be sure to add the tag above to your post so you will be entered into the drawing for a FREE stamp set of your choice from Gina K Designs valued at $24.95 or less.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by!! *smile*

Dino-Friends!

This is an old card that I never had  a chance to post on my blog.  I created this for the previews of last month's Gina K Designs new stamps.  My images are from Theresa Momber's, "Dino-mite" set. I LOVE LOVE the innocent look on my green (neither me nor the kids could remember what this dino is called! HA) dinosaur!!

I began with Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Sweet Mango card stock.  I layered it up with some DP I found in my stash and a layer of Kraft card stock which I embossed with my Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles folder.

My images were colored with my Copic markers and cut out and attached to the front.  My tree top was paper pieced with a DP print I found.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  *smile*

Praying... you survive!!

Today I wanted to share a VERY easy and quick card I made for a fellow tenant in the building where My Studio is located.  He came in one day and asked me to say a prayer for people he may be near while taking his yoga class tonight with his wife.  Ha!!  He's a very funny guy!  He wasn't crazy about going since he said he has terrible balance issues so he really felt sorry for those who might be near.  Hee Hee

Of course I had just gotten my new Slice machine and decided to flip through the many images available.  Much to my surprise I found this yoga silhouette.  I couldn't believe it!  Thus, a card for him!!

Very simply, I used Gina K's Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Black Onyx card stock and added a piece in the corner of the white.  I embossed it with my Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl folder and added my image to a layer of black and red card stock.

My sentiment is from Nina Brackett's, "Fanciful Tags".  Perfect sentiment!

He really got a chuckle out of the card, by the way and felt like he should direct it to those he was around.  Ha!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!  *smile*
