March Stamp TV Kit... Petals and Wings....

Are you enjoying the hops so far??? Today I am share a card I heat embossed using the background stamp and wild flowers in the Kit.

My card began with Pure Luxury Black Onyx card stock. I layered on some Lemon Drop and then a piece of DP I found in my scraps. My image was stamped with Memento Antelope and then I heated embossed my flowers over the top. My little birdie was stamped on the Lemon Drop as well but I used my Copics to add some shading to him.

Gina K Designs March Release Inspiration Hop Day 2

Hope you all enjoyed the release party last night!! Always moves fast and there is so much fun chatter as well along the way. Did you get your shopping done??? I hope you grabbed Theresa's set as for me... it is a fabulous set for those manly cards!! My card today started with Pure Luxury Sweet Mango card stock. I ran it through my Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder to add some texture to the card. I ran my Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Distress Ink across the embossing to bring out the brown in the giraffe. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out using the Oval Nestabilities. I sponged a bit of Memento Cantelope around the edges before removing the die. I also cut a piece of the new Sundance paper pack with the ovals and added it under my image. I found the ribbon in my stash and added more of the Vintage Photo ink to it as it was black and white before. I attached my sentiment with some twine.

Next up... Blooming with Blessings by Rupa Shevde

Rupa's set just has such cute little critters in it. You can't help but smile at them all. And this bunny is perfect for Easter which is coming up quick! I started with Pure Luxury Bubble Gum Pink cardstock in A2 size. I punched both sides of the card and added some of that wonderful Spring paper from the Petals and Wings paper pack. LOVE this pack!! I added some lace along each border punch as well. I stamped my bunny and used more of the Petals and Wings to paper piece him. I did a bit of coloring on his ears and cheeks with my Copics, as well as coloring his "leeetle friennnd" the butterfly. Hee I mounted him on top of a few layers using Sweet Mango, Key Lime and Bubble Gum Pink.

GKD March Anniversary Challenge #5 - Emerging Butterflies

Happy Saturday everyone!! AND... Happy LAST DAY of Winter!!! Woot!! Remember to turn your clocks forward an hour before you head to bed tonight!! "Spring Forward!!!"

My challenge for you today is to create a project following Gina's "Emerging Leaves" video. You can see the video below my card if you'd like to watch it again.

I used the new Stamp TV Kit - Petals & Wings and decided to use butterflies since Spring will be here tomorrow!!! :-) Both my background image and the butterflies can all be found in this STV Kit!! My card base is Pure Luxury White and I added some Vibrant Violet and more white for layering and stamping my images on.

Gina K Designs March Release Inspiration Hop

Melanie's Wild Flowers are so versatile as a background stamp or borders or just a full image design. Even the little "flower middles" (as I used here) can be used as a background!! I used Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight White for my card base and punched the bottom. I stamped my flowers along the edge for a border. I colored my butterfly with my Memento markers and cut it out before mounting it to my Fancy Tags 2 Nestabiltie.

Next up... Masculine Tags by Tami Mayberry....

I just love old cars and I couldn't resist using this tag for my CAS card today. Again I used Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight white for the base and layered it with Black Onyx and then Layering Weight White. My image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. I added a few silver self-adhesive nail heads to the sentiment area.

I Spy Something Green...

Good Monday morning to you!! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was very relaxing! I did a good scrubbing of my kitchen floor and talk about suffering.... Ha... that gym devil gave me sore upper thighs so that floor was no easy task! LOL And to think... tonight I go visit her again! I'm going to need a positive attitude and I think my Outlawz Greetings Challenge card might help me get there. How can you NOT smile at this carefree uplifting Magnolia image??? :-) The challenge this week is to use GREEN!

My card started with Pure Luxury Accents, Key Lime base. I added a couple DP's I found in my stash. My image was colored with Copic markers and mounted using Pop Dots. I added a few Marianne Die Cuts and some flowers from Prima.
